We, humans, wrongly believe that we are the only rational beings on this planet. Beside us, there are numerous other beings, regularly hiding from us. We don't know them so we wrongly call them monsters, while they call themselves Hul-Sul-Bak. These beings are numerous in Croatia, because of its still preserved and immaculate nature. In these beautifully illustrated short stories about some fifteen benevolent monsters, the writer takes us on an illuminating journey through history and space. An original representation of interesting places, events and traditions of Croatia is unfolding before our eyes. In many of these places destinies of humans and monsters – Hul-Sul-Baks – come together.
